The Elof Hansson Group

The Elof Hansson Group conducts international trade in the Forest Products, Industrial Products and Consumer Products business areas. The most important product groups are: pulp, paper and board; timber; plant and machinery for the pulp, paper, packaging and sugar industries; building materials; textiles and electrical home appliances.

From its head office in Gothenburg, Sweden, Elof Hansson markets its products worldwide in close connection with our subsidiaries and agents in more than 100 countries. The number of employees in the Elof Hansson Group is about 550 and its annual business volume amounts to approximately USD 1 billion. The company, which was founded in 1897 by Merchant Elof Hansson, is now owned by the Elof Hansson Foundation.

History

Elof Hansson, the founder of the Elof Hansson Group, was a merchant who began operations in Hamburg, Germany, in 1897. Sales expanded rapidly and, as early as 1904, Elof Hansson opened his first branch office in London.
